Heart Forge workflow
- Salvage unwanted HeartsEach saved modifier rolls its matching fragment, while the required damage type or automatic-Heart affinity has a separate fragment chance.
- Select a compatible modifierThe Heart's archetype and current damage type or affinity decide which properties the Forge may add or improve.
- Choose a higher tierThe cost is three matching fragments per target tier. Existing modifiers can only move upward.
- Pass the strength checkThe completed Heart must remain inside its item-level and rarity strength range or the craft is rejected without spending fragments.
Values are read from the same gameplay catalogs used by Worlds Worth Looting.
Crafting rules
- Compatibility
- Every modifier defines compatible archetypes and, where required, compatible damage types. The Forge cannot bypass those rules.
- Affix cap
- A new modifier cannot be added after the Heart reaches 8 modifiers. Existing compatible modifiers may still be upgraded when strength allows.
- Tier selection
- Factor modifiers may include harmful T1–T3 values. Beneficial behavior modifiers begin at T4, and some modifiers allow only specific tiers through T10.
- Value preservation
- Upgrading an existing modifier carries its relative roll quality into the new tier. Adding a modifier rolls a new legal value.
- Immutable identity
- Archetype and item level never change through ordinary Heart crafting.
Damage type and affinity replacement
| Rule | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Cost | One fragment matching the desired Earth, Fire, Ice, Lightning, or Force property. |
| Active Heart | Replaces the required damage type when every existing modifier remains compatible. |
| Aura or Passive Heart | Replaces its affinity; automatic Hearts do not become damaging spells. |
| Strength | The resulting Heart must still satisfy its signed strength range. |
Enchanting Orb restriction
Fragments only
Enchanting Orbs target eligible equipment. Skill Hearts are absent from the Enchanting workflow and use Heart fragments in the Crafting workflow instead.
